Mint 21.2 Cinnamon. With all updates except the most recent kernel upgrade.
When displaying downloaded or screenshot’d images in Nemo, thumbnails look like the original. If you open the image in the default Image Viewer (because there is no side pane image preview option still afaik), they are significantly darker than the original – left image. If they are opened in Pix -middle image, they are the same as the original which is set as wallpaper on the right. If I click file + Spacebar to preview, also fine. I thought it might be limited to .png images, but it happens with Jpegs too. The Victoria mmiyagi_japan.jpg wallpaper has same behaviour. Has anyone seen this as a bug or feature? I did search for same/similar issues but my DDG-fu couldnt come up with anything. And I know the solution is to use Pix or the non-intuitive select + Spacebar, but thought I would ask here.
